CENTRAL: Friends bus trip to the Julia Ideson Building

The Friends of the Pasadena Public Library are going on a trip to the Julia Ideson Building in downtown Houston and you are invited to join them (note -- if you are not currently a member of the Friends group, you must become a member prior to the trip). The Julia Ideson Building was Houston's main library in downtown Houston from 1926 to 1976 and is now a city of Houston Protected Landmark. For the bus trip there, there is an age limit of 55 and up and the cost is $3. Meet at the Pasadena Central Library (1201 Jeff Ginn Memorial Dr.) at 9 a.m. on June 17. Not yet a member? It's easy to join! The fee is only $10 per year, or 10 hours volunteering. Join prior to Monday, June 10 by visiting either library, or by signing up at the Friends of the Library page. The Friends also have a general membership meeting this Saturday, June 8, at 10:30 a.m. at the Central Library.
